Ancora Cielo Demonstrator Fountain Pen Limited Edition #435 of 500 Transparent blue body 18K gold nib (M), 18K gold trims Inked, but never used In near-mint condition except for ink stains Comes with inner and outer box and papers Made in Italy * * * * * I believe this was the only skeleton pen ever made by Ancora. It is actually a very beautiful pen with stylish gold trims and an original cap thread design that is very close to the nib. The cap itself is very short.Pen writes beautifully with excellent ink flow. This is not a flex nib, but it is semi-soft and provides just the right amount of flexibility for general writing. This was one of the few pens I inked and I really wanted to use it, but it does not map well to my hand, so I decided to just rinse it off keep it.I was surprised that the acrylic easily stained with Waterman ink, something that Ancora probably did not realize. Those stains are not from dry ink – the pen works flawlessly. The rear end of the pen unscrews to reveal a pump that is used to fill the pen. The nib and the feed along with the long metal tube easily unscrew from the section for cleaning. Very easy to maintain the pen. Comes with its original box. There is a little bit of a stain on the fabric of the box where the pen is inserted, and also, the certificate says it is No. 373, but the cap has No. 435 engraved on it. That is the way it was when I bought it. Also, Ancora used some cheap kind of vinyl for the outside box and it just disintegrates over time. It’s just the way they made these boxes, so don’t be surprised. I like to mention all these so there are never any surprises.* * * * * I am selling my entire pen collection that I had built up over many years. I already sold some 350+ pens, and these are the last of my collection. I bought most of these brand new and some used. All of these went into a display case and have stayed there until now. It is possible that even new pens might have been dipped in ink before they were sent to me, or show signs of handling or minor surface scratches. When I received my fountain pens, if I ever happened to see any ink, I always rinsed them clean. I have not inked or used any of these pens. The ballpoint and rollerball pens will likely need new refills – I make no warranty that they will write smoothly, if at all. The boxes are all kept separately in storage and some of the boxes are no longer in pristine condition. Otherwise, all the items are as described.
