Antique Waterbury 8 Day Oak Parlour Clock *Time, Strike & Alarm* Running Click images to enlarge Description Here is a great condition 8 day time, strike and alarm, solid oak cased parlour clock that was made by the Waterbury Clock Co. at Waterbury, Conn., USA well over 100 years ago. This is another clock like what you might see up on the fireplace mantle at Cracker Barrel and wish you could bring home. Actually, it’s better than those, because this clock has been serviced and is in good running condition.The movement has been cleaned and adjusted, so the clock runs good, keeps time and gongs properly. It is the antique wire gong style that has a really nice distinctive sound. The alarm mechanism is also operational. The pictures show how beautiful and well designed the clock really is. The case is solid press carved walnut and is still in the original medium walnut finish. Overall, it appears in great condition. The case measurements at the longest points are 21¾” high x 15½” wide x 4 ¾” deep. This clock also comes with a key that fits. It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is sold as “in running condition,” it means that we have test run it before listing it and feel confident that it will run for you.
