Here we have one rare vintage Girl Scout Transportation and Communication badge. This badge design showing a winged wheel was available between 1920 and 1947 (before 1938, it was called “Motorist). This version with silver green fabric, white backstitching and unfinished edges was produced only in **1947**. **A bit more information about this special 1947 badge: Silver-green badges were produced between 1938 and 1947. Until Spring of 1946, they had black backstitching. In 1947 the manufacturers changed to a white thread in the back causing a new category of Silver Green badges that lasted only ONE year. Some collector’s call this a “halo.” In 1948 the fabric was changed, so this badge is a special one-year item – hard to find!
